Wedding signage can be a daunting task, but such a beautiful way to incorporate your design. It is the little details that create cohesion throughout the day for your guests experience. Signage is meant to give clear direction to your guests as well as indicate a natural flow in the space. Utilizing signage can make a big impact towards the overall hospitality of the day. The first 7 seconds walking into a space leaves the biggest impression. While you do not need to include every sign you have ever seen, my recommendations are below.
Here is the signage I recommend including at your wedding:
Welcome sign
Ceremony bulletin
Cards and gifts sign
Guestbook
Bar sign
Seating chart
Place cards or escort cards:
Escort cards are a card with the name of your guest and table number to which they have been assigned. This card is displayed during cocktail hour for guests to take to their table and choose their seat.
Place cards are used to indicate your guests assigned seat for a formal meal. If you are having a plated meal, the meal indicator would be included on this place card for dinner service. A seating chart is paired with place cards for assigned seats. The guests begin by looking at the seating chart that indicates which table to sit at, and the place card recognizes which seat at that table they will sit in.
Table numbers
Menus
Dessert indicators (if you have more than one flavor or option)
