GARDEN PARTY OF MY DREAMS

Spring is here and hosting a garden party is the perfect way to welcome the season! Here is everything you need to know to throw a beautiful garden party!

FLOWERS

Flowers are an essential aspect of a garden party, however, what I am most drawn to is using a variety of floral textures and colors. To me, a garden exudes brightness and organic texture. Including a welcome sign with florals or a small arrangement near an entrance is the perfect way to invite guests into your party.

PATTERN AND COLORS

Outside of flowers, bringing in patterns and color in the design makes a visual statement! For this garden party I mixed and matched linens. I used a beautiful lilac linen, as well as a green floral print. For the picnic, we brought in orange, yellow, and pink pillows. I even love using a variety of textures to bring in the organic feel.

FINGER FOODS

Finger foods are a given for a garden party giving off a dainty and elegant presentation. If the garden party is a picnic like this one was, finger foods also make it easy to eat standing or sitting without utensils. Typically I see small sandwiches or ramekins, however, the charcuterie cups were perfect. I also love that our baker included beautiful edible flowers on the cupcakes.

REFRESHMENTS

While a prosecco truck may not be the most feasible or practical option for your garden party, it was aesthetically so sweet and the experience was joyful! I recommend having a bubbly drink paired with juices as the perfect option for hosting a spring event.

FAVORS

My favorite element to include for a garden party is a build-your-own bouquet bar! It is simple and can be cost effective, but leaves a lasting impression. All you need is a few buckets to separate various florals in, a bouquet wrap, ribbon and scissors. Having this bar is such a beautiful visual touch to your party as well.

I highly recommend playing a garden party playlist in the background as a final touch to elevate the ambiance of the party and eliminate any awkward silence for your guests!
